MALAGA 2 -0 BARCELONA - CATALANS LOSE GROUND ON TITLE RACE
Barcelona failed to take advantage of Madrid draw with Atletico as they where beaten by Malaga.
A win would have moved Barca level on points with Madrid but it was formaer Barca gradute Sandro Ramirez who opened the scoring after 34 minutes with some poor defending from Jeremie Mathieu.
Barcelona continued to control the game but almost conceeded a second goal with Sandro teeing up Juampi but his shot was straight at Ter Stegen.
Neymar almost equalise for the visitors but his shot from a narrow angle hit the upright and went out for a goalkick.
The Brazilian was shown a second yellow card in the 65th minutes after a reckless tackle on Diego Llorente.
Substitute Jony made sure of the points for the host after another rapid counter-attack, Pablo Fornals setting up the winger who calmly slotted home.
