Wenger is convinced that Sanchez wants to stay at the Emirate beyond 2018 when his current contract expire, but talks over a new contract made little progress before being delayed untill the summer.
The French man said it is down to the 28 year-old coming into an agreement with his agent.
Wenger continued " The players have to first see whether they are happy at the club. Most of the time its down to finding an agreement and the finances are involved in it, yes.
