CRYSTAL PALACE 3-0 ARSENAL - EAGLES PILE MORE PRESSURE ON WENGER


Arsenal hope of qualifying for the Champions League next season was given a huge blow on monday night as they were well beaten by Palace.


Palace took the lead after 16 minutes as Wilfred Zaha's low cross was turned in former Tottenham man Andros Townsend as Arsenal defenders failling to deal with a long ball.



Arsenal search for a immediate response with Sanchez going close twice, first testing Hennesey before bending one wide.

The visitors almost equalised just before half time through Danny Welbeck but his shot  across goal went wide after he was set up be Mesut Ozil.

Five minutes after the break Palace had the ball in the back of the net again but the flag went up for offside against Benteke.

But the host did score after 63 minutes with the impressive Zaha providing the assist again, pulling the ball back for Yohann Cabaye who lobed the ball into the net, 2-0.

Five minutes later it was 3-0, Martinez bringing down Townsend in the penalty area.  Milivojevic steps up to score his first goal for Palace,game over.


A fourth consecutive away defeat for Arsenal the first In Wenger career since taking over at the club ensure pressure continues to grow for the Frenchman.
