CHELSEA MIDFIELDER N'GOLO KANTE NAMED PFA PLAYER OF YEAR
France midfielder Ngolo Kante incredible rise in English football continues as he clinch PFA Player of the Year award.
Kante saw off competion from team-mate Eden Hazard, Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku, Zlatn Ibrahimovic and Alexis Sanchez.
The 26 year-old was a key part of the Leicester team that won the title last season and he is on course to repeat that same feet this season with Chelsea.
The Frenchman was presented with the award at theGrosvenor Hotel in London on Sunday evening.
"To be chosen by the players to be player of the year means a lot to me, " Kante said.
"It means the world to be chosen and its been two beautiful seasons, one with Leicester, and we are in goods form with Chelsea. To be player of the year is a great honour."
He also went on futher to praise the winning mentality of Antonio Conte and insist Chelsea must continue to work hard if the are to win the title this season.
Kante joined Chelsea last summer for £32 million after a wonderful first season with Leicester.
Dele Alli was named young PFA player of the year for the second season running.
