Lyon striker Alex Lacazette is believed to have had a verbal agreement with Atletico Madrid.
Lacazette a long term transfer target for Arsenal has agreed to join the Madrid based club for £40 million.
If the move does materilise it will see Lacazette link up with France team mate Antoine Griezmann
.
Atletico are trying to convice Griezmann to snub Man United approach and stay at the club beyond this summer and a move for Lacazette will show their ambitions.
Although the foward recently claimed that he is happy at the Spanish Capital at the moment and could not see himself playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Atletico Madrid recieved a suspension and are Unable to register any player until January 2018. They are hoping to appeal the ongoing ban and sign players this summer.
