VARDY: I SNUBBED ARSENAL MOVE BECAUSE OF THEIR STYLE OF PLAY
Liecester City striker Jamie Vardy has revealed he snubbed Arsene Wenger side due to their style of play.
Arsenal were intrested in taking the 29 year-old to the Emirates and triggered
his 20million pounds release clause but Vardy opted to stay with Liecester and signed a new contract with the champions.
The England international said: 'With people like Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil creating chances Arsenal felt they could benefit me as much as i could them.
'You look at their style of play and they don't get the ball forward as quick as Liecester for those runs i make behind the defence.
Vardy also insisted that it was his concern on how he will fit in at Arsenal that made him turn down the move rather loyalty to Liecester.
Jamie Vardy was instrumental as Liecester won the League with is 24 goals helping his side to their very first League title in their history.
