Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaeleen have joined AS Roma on a season long loan.
The former Arsenal defender will move on an initial loan with Roma having the option to make the move permanent.
Barca release the statement on their official website stating that the defender will spend the 2016/2017 season in the Italian Capital.
The Belgian move to Barca in 2014 but fail to win a spot in the first eleven which was due to the knee injury he sustained few weeks after he was signed.
