Arsenal have made a surprise move to buy back Thomas Vermaelen from Barcelona.
Following the injury to captain Per Mertesacker the gunners are short in number at the back and are desperately looking for a player with the right price.
The club signed a young English defender Rob Holding but he is set to go out on loan to a Premier League club to get use to the physical nature of the League.Wenger is also intrested in former Manchester United defender Johnny Evans who plays for Wes Brom but the Gunners boss feels the 16 million euros is too high.
Arsenal are also intrested in Germany and Valencia defender Mustafi.
