Arsenal have turned their attention to Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez after growing frustrated by Valencia over Mustafi.
Gimenez who is a uruguay International already is valued around the 50million mark which may prove to be an obstacle for the Gunners.
The 21 year old was a regular for diego simeone side last season making a total of 37 appearance for the La Liga giants.
Arsenal have open talks over a 40million move with the player keen to join the gunners but Atletico are still holding on to the 50million which is the player's valuation.
However news broke today that arsenal have added southampton captain Jose Fonte to their wish list as the look to add to their defensive rank.
